Social Care Director

Brittany began her employment at the Supported Living Group in June of 2010; as a Companion level staff member offering supports and developing social and recreation schedules for her consumers on Connecticut’s Brain Injury Waiver Program. A year later Brittany was certified as an Independent Living Skills Trainer, where she developed an entire new skill set with a primary focus on instructional-based services teaching the necessary skills and interventions to brain injury survivors and other staff members. She was recognized early on in her employment as a rising star in the organization by showing her dedication and loyalty to the overall mission of SLG.

In 2011 Brittany was honored for her exemplary performance in the field with a promotion to a Program Coordinator role, where she again flourished into one of the agency's finest. Brittany has gained a reputation within the agency for being the go-to person for in-the-field problem-solving for both ABI Waiver Participants and support staff. She has developed a powerful skill set in managing the ever-changing needs of the participant's day-to-day programming and community living. Brittany continues to be a strong advocate for those in need and has committed herself to mastery in all aspects of her job.

Again, being the standout and the warm-hearted person who puts others needs ahead of her own and never stops networking, The Supported Living Group extended another promotion in 2013, as a Vocational Manager, to assist in building and managing a new vocational program contracted with the CT Dept. of Rehabilitation Services (DORS).

As the Vocational Manager of SLG, Brittany has worked diligently in the development and implementation of Vocational Programming for ABI Waiver participants and consumers referred to the agency by the DORS/BRS. Brittany can often be found in the community networking with businesses up and down the eastern side of Connecticut seeking open job positions that meet her service participants job goals and advocating for her clientele.

Brittany is a Graduate of Marietta College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design a concentration in Public Relations and an internship in Development.
