Who Is Eligible for the Connecticut ASD Waiver?
To qualify, individuals generally must:
Have a primary diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder
Be age 3 or older (SLG primarily serves adults 18+)
Meet functional criteria (substantial limitations in two or more major life activities)
Not have an intellectual disability (full-scale IQ of 70 or higher in most cases)
Meet financial and Medicaid eligibility requirements
There is typically a waiting list. Applying early is recommended. SLG can help guide families through the process of connecting with DSS and understanding next steps.
